Resilient controller and hypervisor placement for future communication networks (RESyST)

Welcome to the website of the RESyST project.

On 26 October 2018 workshop "Optical 5G Transport Networks - How to Face Reliability with Virtualization?" was held at the 2018 Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP 2018). Moderated by the project co-leader, Marija Furdek Prekratić, this workshop presented challenges in designing and implementing reliable 5G communication networks, with the focus on virtualization of the underlying optical transport networks. The workshop included presentations by experts from industry and academia, who outlined their views on dealing with the related resilience issues:

Jörg-Peter Elbers, ADVA (Germany)
Robert Keys, Juniper (Canada)
Dan Kilper, University of Arizona (USA)
Wei Lu, University of Science and Technology of China (China)
Marco Ruffini, Trinity College Dublin (Ireland)
Sameer Sharma, Nokia Bell Labs (USA)
Gangxiang Shen, Soochow University (China)

After their presentations, the experts discussed on open questions with audience, which involved scientists and other professionals from industry, university professors, postdoctoral and doctoral researchers.
